Nobody wants a nagger. But, if there is one preaching that should be nagged over and over again in pulpits is the need for us Filipinos to show our love for this country.
How can Filipino Christians say they love God when they can't love themselves as citizens of this country? (a great disconnect, right? ) I mean, this country is very blessed in so many ways and yet, most of us, Filipino Christians, fail to even thank God for being born here. If you curse the land where you were born, you are actually cursing the God who decided you should be born there? Di ba? So, why expect His blessings when you can't even thank Him how blessed you are for having this country?
A lot of us may even think of going anywhere (to study, work, or put up a business) than stay here and help build our very own country.
I wish and pray there will come a time, all Filipinos who work abroad will simply come home and work together with Filipinos here, build great businesses (thereby creating more jobs) and make the wealth of the nations flux here. May God first remove greed and corruption in our society. May God also instill care for the environment to every Filipino. May God stir up each voter to demand for government leaders who really care for their flock with their hearts. May God rain down His righteousness to every baranggay and may His children receive it in its full measure.
(When God does all that in the near future, what a haven would the Philippines be for both Filipinos and foreigners alike.)

I love You, God, but, You love me more. They love You, God, but, You love them more.
May Your unfailing love protect each child of Yours and may Your steadfast love stir all of us up toward Christlikeness.
Answer the pleas of Your people and give us a peaceful world. Make Your face shine on us and grant us Your peace. Have mercy on this country and give us righteous leaders. Stir their souls and spirits to do what pleases you. For the glory of Your Name and in The Name of Your Son Jesus Christ.
May all Your people say: Amen.
