All throughout human history, there is always such a thing as 'rising and falling of a kingdom'. AND it all depends how a kingdom is ruled or taken care of.
Boracay was once a 'paradise' island, however, 'rulers' had let 'many' turned it into a 'lumot' island. Thanks for its rehabilitation. Hope its all rehabilitation.
Development must be coupled by sensible sustainability or else a place will only be exploited and its natural beauty ruined.
Really, there is a lot of beautiful places in this country and only if the government and its townpeople cooperate to sustainably develop its beauty, what happened to Boracay will not happen to any island anymore.
Last Saturday, had visited (for the longest time had finally visited) a nearby island, Olotayan island.
The island is not yet fully developed for tourism, but, its raw beauty (white sand and clear cool water) is worth the more than 30-mins open banca ride and probably worth the tan as well. [ Gosh, my skin color is like an 'Ati' na. 😆 Im just "making arte", all natural skin colors are beautiful in the eyes of God.]
