I love it when God speaks in terms the listener can really understand. It is one of His amazing attributes. (I love the way God knows every single person on earth. Yeah, He is the Creator after all.) Sad though, not everyone choose to know their Creator and resorted to knowing more other people or other things. Gosh, they are missing out the Best of the best.
The title may a bit fuzzy for some, let me just explain, it is simply a light bulb moment for me, 'ting'. Partly bragging that God really wanted Chemical Engineers (or Metallurgist) in the planet. HAHA! I read this verse in Jeremiah 6:27-30 and He was talking about metal refining.
An 'ore', aside from the rare metal, contains soil and other compounds. Before anyone get any metal (say silver), the 'ore' will undergo many refining processes, most processes use high heat or mechanical action (crushing). Bronze and iron are made up of a combination of metals.
God is talking about rebels, people who have let many gods in their hearts. God wanted to purge out impurities, and He let them undergo the refining process.
The last impurity to deal in a metal is usually lead [Lead is the reason why most refined metals is not that 100% pure, they got traces (very very small amount) of lead ]. If the amount of lead is that high after the last refining process, the whole batch of the metal is rejected. (Lead, Pb, is hazardous to health.)
As refined metals got standard of purity, so, is God with His people.
Will you let God refine you and take away the lead out of your heart? or will you want to belong with the rejected silver?
