Who says that the Bible is boring?
With spiritual eyes wide open, the Holy Spirit can lead a believer through passages that are just there waiting to be mined like precious gems. Sometimes, it is for the believer's need; other times it is meant for another believer's rebuke, or encouragement, or affirmation.
For whoever it is meant, these passages are great for sharing.
1 Chronicles 4:9-10
Jabez cried out to the GOD of Israel to enlarge his territory and for GOD's hand to be with him to keep him safe from harm and pain. And GOD granted his request.
Saul died because he was unfaithful to the LORD and turned over his kingdom to David son of Jesse.
1 Chronicles 11:9
David became more and more powerful because the LORD ALMIGHTY was with him.
1 Chronicles 12:22
Day after day men came to help David, until he had a great army, like the army of God.
1 Chronicles 17
GOD honored David's devotion (because David wanted to build a great temple for the LORD) by giving David a promise that the Messiah will come from his lineage. David responded to GOD's promise with humble thanksgiving and praise.
