Finally, church will be very near from home!
Inviting anyone who hungers to know Jesus to visit Victory Nova-Bayan at SM-Novaliches on September 3 (11am) and every Sunday (same time) onwards.
I got reached out when I was in 2nd year college at Mapua. Attended U-Belt, up until got a job at Makati. I had worked at different places, but, always find my spiritual home with VCF.
Transferred from place to place like a nomad. Maybe, I should say like a grudging missionary that was sent to different mission fields by force. Just kidding. I was consumed with my own plan to put a dent on the world I live in by using my own 'intellect' and 'talents'.
Cannot serve two masters at a time, so, I hated the world (I had wished to impact with my so-called intellect). That took me years to figure out - God should be my SOLE master. Really, I wish I could turn back time and take the missionary call seriously. lol! But, nah, no crying over spilled milk. I thank God for His unique ways of shaping and taking edges of my character like polishing a diamond-in-a-rough. In short, even up to now, 'God is journeying' me. I don't know what God's plans are. However, I say: Lord Jesus, have it your way, your time, your purposes. No matter how small the role I had in God's ultimate design, I know it is worth it.
Anyways, having Victory-NovaBayan at SM Novaliches is an expected answer to a prayer of the past: to have church so near I could have no trouble or reason in not attending or serving (and eventually bringing my family too).
It was quite funny how accidental my transfer was. Early this year, from the very early morning service, I wanted to commit at the 5pm service of VCF-Novaliches as the Pastor explains the scriptures in a very intelligible and practical way. (Just to clear, all Pastors are great in their own unique ways, and they preach the same Gospel.) However, I accidentally attended a VCF-NovaBayan assembly meeting, and as they say, in God there could only be 'divine appointments'. So, though, a bit late, I jumped on board with peace.
VCF-NovaBayan would officially start by September 3. As our lead Pastor exhorted all of the volunteers with Matthew 20:25-26, there is no doubt God's purposes for VCF-NovaBayan will prevail.
I'm glad and humbly privileged to be part (no matter what my role is) in this newly planted body of Christ. God has given us humble leaders with the heart of Christ in the person of our lead Pastor and his wife. May God the Father continue to give them His wisdom and pour His Holy Spirit to them without limits. May God bless all the members of His body to manifest Jesus Christ's heart. May God add to our numbers those whom He had called. All for God's glory and in Jesus name.
