GOD is the King of kings.
When that truth is instilled in a person's heart, everything and everyone else becomes minute.
I was reminded today to pray for the country's president. A lot of us nationalistic citizens of this country would rather utter judgments or criticisms against our political leaders for anything that happens in the country's political, social, or economic arena.
If every single one of God's children in the Philippines would just lift a sincere short prayer to God for the betterment of our country every single day - the Philippines would experience supernatural development. (That is just my opinion and a personal hope for the future generation.)
Anyways, whoever is leading the country has the power to steer the country to either death or life; to either slavery or freedom.
Just like when the Israelites of Samuel's generation asked for a king.
Poor Samuel, he felt rejected by the Israelites. But, God cheered Samuel up by saying it was really God that the Israelites had rejected. So, God out of mercy warned the Israelites what their human kings would do. Yet, they wanted a king and God gave them one after the other. And true enough most of the kings (except for a few that were devoted to God) had led Israel to idolatry which eventually led to the exile and great sufferings of generations after them.
I care for the future of the Philippines. I care for the future of the generations after me. So, may God help the President in terms of his health, in clearly seeing the consequences of his options, and in asking God's approval for all of his most important decisions. May godly and prayerful people surround the President and stand with him in justly leading the country.
May God touch the hearts of His people and lead them to sincerely pray for the country's leaders and lawmakers. May God bless the Philippines and raise up leaders (now and in the future) who are after His will and heart.
May God forcefully advance His kingdom in all parts of the Philippines. May forceful men and women join in the advancement. In Jesus name.
