How God Searches Hearts

Disclaimer:

If you are not a follower of Jesus, do not read this blog. You would never understand a thing. Spare yourself from any trouble.

Let the cross of Jesus Christ stand between me and all who continue to read this blog. I declare nothing would pass through except the blood of Jesus Christ.

How God Searches Hearts

Through all circumstances God searches hearts. Good or bad - God is in the business of using each and every circumstance to reveal what is really inside the hearts of people. Prov.17:3

God must be up to something that a funny illustration came to mind. I will only share just a few - just enough to make a point.

Inside my heart is a small village. There's a palace in the center undergoing construction. And oh a flourishing garden around the palace. Then, there are houses around it, a church, a hospital, a store, a cemetery, and land yet to be explored.

The palace is Jesus home as he takes center stage in my life. It used to be just a small hut.

Upon salvation when I invited Jesus to be my Lord and Savior, I gladly invited him to be the Lord of that small hut too. He was pleased but started tearing down the hut. Horrified with pain, I asked him why he did that. He looked at me with pity and said I must trust him. He pointed out that the hut could not stand storms.

He wanted his home be built on the foundation of 'Who He Really Is'. That is the only way his home could stand storms. I dried up my tears and started helping him in the deconstruction and then on the laying of the foundation.

As time passes, the works of Jesus' hands become evident. He is building up a castle. As long as Jesus is in control, that palace undergoes continuous construction. If I interfere, become the lord instead of Jesus, the palace stops building and some part got rotten.

So, with time I learned the lesson: trust Jesus without condition and  do not interfere with what Jesus is building. He knows better.

The few houses I built around the palace are the houses I built for people close to me.

One day, Jesus pointed out he needed to 'search' the house I built for my parents. So, I invited him in.

Jesus: Let there be light in this room.
and there was light.

(In my eyes, my parent's house was already nice.) Jesus walked over the odd looking chair I built for my mom.

Jesus: I need to take this furniture out.

(puzzled) Me: Why Lord?

Jesus placed his right hand palm facing down to the center of my mom's chair. A drop of blood came out of his palm and when it touched the chair a mark became evident.

Jesus: See this (pointing out to the mark) this is NOT my Name.

Me: Oh, I never bothered to test that. That's why it looks weird. Go ahead and take it Lord.

Jesus: I'll take this. (The chair was gone at his word.) Together, let's build a nice chair for your mom.

Me: So, we will do that to all the stuff in this house?

Jesus: Some will remain as they are. Some, we need to take away and must be replaced with new things. But only at your permission.

Me: Ok Lord. (with mixed emotions)
...

Every building and every stuff inside the building will be tested by Jesus' blood.

Some of the buildings Jesus needs to tear down. Some of the stuff he needs to take out but must be replaced by the very stuff we build together.

(As we build things together, I get to know the real character of my Lord and Savior. )

Oh there are buildings and stuff only Jesus can build. But, he only builds that upon my permission. (What is free will for after all? That's how awesome God is!)

Every square inch of the land, every plant that grows will be tested by Jesus' blood. If the plant bears his Name it will flourish and bear much fruit. If it is not, we will uproot that upon my permission. Every seed that comes from the hands of Jesus is good, holy, and perfect.

I think that would be enough to illustrate how God searches hearts.

What basically it says is that whatever comes from Jesus is pure and holy. Anything that is not pure and holy is not from God and must be destroyed or taken out. It is a continuous process until God calls his children home.

(If it is done all at once when you first accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior, then how nice! 😊 You don't need to go through the uncomfortable process called sanctification. 😆)

As children of God, we must not hinder Jesus from testing the identity of each stuff and building inside our hearts. We may never know it or admit it, but, a lot of the raised buildings or stored stuff may not even bear his Name. That's where evil or selfish desires breed. So, just COOPERATE with God and tear that buildings down or give that stuff to Jesus. God knows better. See how would that transform your mind and then you'd be able to approve God's will - the pleasing and perfect will of God.
