Window Seat

It's Labor Day!

Congratulations to all the 'laboring' (working) men and women in the Philippines (and all Filipinos abroad)!

We, thank God for our jobs and we thank God for our employers! (If you are an employer, you should be thanking God for your great role and daily ask for His guidance on how you can be the best in your field.)

Anyways, upon watching the news today, I am quite happy that there was a reduction on the number of unemployed Filipinos. The government is doing its job in promoting employment and in helping the unemployed. I just wish and pray, we, working Filipinos would learn our lesson now. That we all : should give our best in everything we do; keep our communication lines open two ways (listening and speaking); and keep our eyes focused on performing our roles and not on how others perform theirs.

As for me, I'm very thankful to God for the nature of my job. I got to see the many faces of this beautiful Philippines and see my very region with fresh eyes. Travelling maybe physically stressful, specially this summer, yet, if you are like me who are out for an adventure (with GOD), you probably can shoulder the stress of anything unfamiliar or inconvenient.

(I love window seat. I can simply enjoy the scenery and ignore whatever I don't like inside the bus. The bus I rode was playing Superman vs. Batman. I don't like it a bit. Superheroes are not meant to fight each other. They are supposed to help each other. Where did their brains go when they let Lex manipulate them? Yeah, they regain their brains in the end, but, poor Superman.)

Before I will be carried away by my strong opinions on make believe movies, let me go back to Labor Day and to working Filipinos:

It is really my prayer that one day I will see my beautiful country rising from the ashes of 'wrong mindsets and actions' - that one day I will see the islands of this beautiful country united and abundantly prosper in every aspect.

So, God bless the Philippines and all of us Filipinos!
