Nobody Knows What Tomorrow Brings

Humans are naturally competitive, and they always want to prove who is better than who. Healthy avenues of such 'competitiveness' are sports, pageants, etc. However, there are times, 'that competitiveness' causes people or group to miss out the beauty of 'cooperation' or 'humility' or ' of learning a lesson'.

Life on earth is too short to prove to others you are the real winner. I think that's one quality of humanity I can never fully understand. People are out to cut someone else's throat to prove something, when, there is really nothing to prove at all.

Nobody knows what tomorrow brings, so, eat, drink, be human, however, in everything you do, remember God will call you to account in the end.  (That was the spirit of Ecclesiastes)

That's why the people set apart by God had (or should have) a different mindset - life for us is not about proving ourselves to the world, life for us is about witnessing

Witnessing about the goodness of God, of His mercy, of His forgiveness, of His unfathomable love. As we witness for Him, we feel His joy and His peace, that peace and joy are regardless of our circumstances. (I would rather be in the darkest valley with God, than on the top of the mountain without His favor. )

LORD, shine Your light in the hearts of Your children, that we may all see how beautiful it is to be in the center of Your will. In Jesus Name. Amen.
