We, humans, by nature are defensive. I think its all because of our fallen nature. (Adam and Eve first defended themselves when they tried to deflect the consequence of their own wrong choices.)
Ok. So, I'm gonna defend myself a bit and say when my prepositions are wrong or my verbs and nouns don't agree, just focus on the thought or the verses.

Since malapit na ang celebration ng Independence Day, at ng Father's Day, we Filipinos must let go of our 'minor' differences and just work hand by hand rebuilding and gearing this nation toward real independence. Independence from the grip of that divisive spirit and everything that divides a nation.
As one people we can do so much more than we thought we can accomplish.
And God is just starting to rebuild a nation.
Peace and prosperity be with God's people and with their environment.
