A Mother's Love

Let me greet all mothers out there a HAPPY MOTHERS DAY! 😙

I think the toughest, the most fragile, and the most influential vocation on earth is that of a mother.

TOUGHEST - because a mother has to endure the discomforts of pregnancy and the pain and danger of childbirth.

FRAGILE - because a mother got most of the blames for the misconduct or misbehavior of her child.

INFLUENTIAL - because a mother's actions and words can instill most of her child's values and provide a framework for her child's character. (I say framework because every individual got a unique way of processing different factors (e.g. friends, peers, environments, etc.) to build his/her own character.

Actually, a mother's words have lasting and greater impact on her child or children. A mother's aptly spoken words of affirmation can build his/her child's self-confidence and strengthen his/her frame. In contrast, her harsh words of disappointment can make her child think so low of his/her self and would eventually led to inferiority/superiority complex.

Well, mothers are not perfect individuals, so, even if they love best their children, they got bloopers too. Like, on how they make unreasonable demands on their children to pursue their own dreams or how they exasperate their children with their nagging or hamper the growth of their children with their overprotectiveness.

However, no love is more pure than a mother's love. No mother would wish to see her children in pain, in distress, or in misery. Every mother (except the ones who lost their capacity to love) would want to see her children happy, healthy, successful, and fulfilled. So, most mothers make selfless sacrifices and gave up their own comforts to make the lives of their children better. For all of that, they deserve all honor and respect.

So, this mother's day and beyond, let us make our mothers proud.

To my Mamang:

I love you! I'm sorry. I will always be here for you. 😙😙😙

To the women (my sisters and mentors) who in their own special ways had showered me with their amazing motherly love:

Thank you! 😚😚😚
